Donations

IDMS as a self funding charity relies on getting funding and donations from a variety of sources.  over the years, IDMS has been able to benefit from grants from the Lottery , Postcode Lottery, Aberdeenshire Council, National Health Service and Health and Social Care Partnership and other local groups.
Local businesses have been generous with their support and individuals and the local community have also contributed equipment, machinery and tools.

The result of these donations has meant that we have been able to provide facilities where men of all ages can relax, work, share knowledge and experience, learn new skills  They also find mutual support to overcome loneliness and other difficulties.

In March 2025, IDMS secured a new building on the existing Harlaw Way site to expand our facilities and create more space with a view to expanding our facilities for more men to enjoy due to the popularity of IDMS.
IDMS with these expansion ideas continue to need business, community and individuals support to achieve these goals.
We appreciate that we live in difficult times but there are several ways in which you can support us financially without spending a penny:

Donation of old equipment either in full working condition or faulty goods which we can repair and refurbish from individuals or local businesses.
Discounted products from local businesses.
Sponsorship from businesses or organisations.
Donate via Paypal

UK donors can use Gift Aid to increase donations by 25%, while companies may gain tax benefits from financial or in-kind donations.
